No. You can record a live conversation together, send a record link so they can answer on their own, or record solo reflections. Either way, the app guides the questions.
No. There is nothing to install, no account and no password. You send them a link, they tap it, and it opens in the browser already on their phone. They tick one box to agree to being recorded, tap the microphone, and talk. That is the whole setup.
Send them a record link. You choose the questions here, they answer on their own phone whenever it suits them, and the story comes back to you. You do not both need to be free at the same time. The link stays open for 14 days, and you can send a fresh one whenever you like.
There is nothing for them to learn. No app, no account and no password, so most of what usually goes wrong is not there to go wrong. It runs in the browser already on their phone, whether that is an iPhone or an Android. The first time, you can also just sit together and record on yours.
Usually about a minute. When the recording ends, we transcribe it and write the story. A long conversation takes a little longer.
Yes, and there is no credit card. You can record your first story without making an account at all. Add an email and the free plan gives you 3 stories with one loved one, and a follow-up question for each. You are only charged if you decide to subscribe.
Yes. Recordings are private by default, access is yours to control, and we never use your recordings to train AI. You can delete everything in one tap.
You start free with 3 full stories and AI insights. When you want unlimited, it's a simple subscription (CA$99/year, or monthly if you prefer). And if you ever stop paying, every story you have recorded stays yours to hear, share and export.
Your archive never locks. Every story you have already recorded stays yours to listen to, share and export, with no time limit. What pauses is new recording: the free plan counts 3 stories over the life of an account, so if you are past that, new stories wait until you subscribe again. Every plan also comes with a 30-day full refund.
They're yours. You can share them privately, and you control deletion. Your memories belong to your family, to keep and to pass down.
Yes. The archive itself does not expire and does not lock. A family link stays open as long as your family keeps opening it, so the people you shared it with hold on to their access by using it. A link nobody has opened in two years closes, and you can issue a fresh one at any time. And if someone you have recorded passes away, their space quietly shifts to listening back: no new question prompts, just their voice, where the whole family can find it.
Reminisce does not have a legacy contact yet, and we are building one. What protects your family in the meantime is that a family link needs no account and no password, so anyone you have already shared it with can keep listening, and it stays open as long as they keep using it. You can also download any story today, the audio, the transcript and a printable copy, and keep those files wherever your family keeps the things that matter. If your family is ever left without access, they can write to support@goreminisce.com and we will help them.
